RADT Legacy

The RADT Legacy category honors those who registered before AB 2473 or who hold a master’s degree in the field. Current holders may continue renewing their credentials and may be exempt from the new DHCS core competency requirements in compliance with AB 2473.

RADT Registered Trainee I

The RADT Registered Intern I is designed for professionals who have demonstrated a high level of expertise and commitment in the field. Requirements include advanced coursework, extensive field experience, and a commitment to ongoing education.

RADT Registered Trainee II

The RADT Registered Intern II is for individuals who have completed their initial training and are actively working in the field. Requirements include a combination of coursework, supervised field experience, and a commitment to professional development.

RADT Registered Intern

The RADT Registered Intern is perfect for those beginning their journey in the counseling field, having completed all required education and now gaining the supervised experience needed for certification while building practical skills and professional confidence.

Important Update for RADT Legacy Holders

The RADT Legacy category will no longer be available for new applicants after July 1, 2025. However, existing credential holders can continue to renew their credentials to maintain their status. We encourage all current RADT Legacy holders to stay updated with renewal requirements to ensure uninterrupted credentialing.
