Student Ambassador

What You’ll Do as a CCAPP Student Ambassador:
Learn what it means to be an SUD counselor from the state’s leading SUD certifying entity:
- Get trained on topics like the career path, the certification process, and the day-to-day of counseling over our two-day training period.
Gain hands-on experience as a leader:
- Help your fellow students learn what it takes to get certified, advance in the field, and all things SUD counseling:
→ Host booths and table on campus/at events.
→ Present about this inspiring field to your peers.
→ Network with working professionals about career opportunities.
Inspire and advocate for the field as a student representative/liaison:
- Conduct student surveys to gather important student feedback and data to build a stronger SUD workforce for California

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in qualified education/degree in SUD (Program must be in-person and not virtual)
- Ability to host and participate in on-campus events
- Ability to commit 5-10 hours a month to ambassador activities
- Ability to travel to Sacramento for two-day training (travel expenses will be covered by CCAPP)
