Qualified Mental Health Specialist

An individual at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent degree is determined to be qualified to provide the service.

The career ladder is designed to advance upward. It is not permissible to step down the ladder from any level.

What do I need to do to apply for QMHS?

 

The QMHS must have any the following:

 

  • Letter from DHCS, County Authority, or designee agency verifying prior MHRS Qualification.

  • Copy of State I.D.

  • Copy of transcript or proof of high school diploma or equivalent degree (previously primary source verified by your employer).

  • Copies of educational certificates (trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.)

  • Affirmation of CCAPP Credentialing Mental Health Code of Conduct.

  • Pay fee of $100 or $50 if a BHAP member (https://bhap.us/membership/)
