Education and Experience Requirements:

CADC-I A

Requirements to apply, you would need an Associate’s degree in behavioral health science or allied mental health, 315 hours of AOD core education, and 2,080 fieldwork experience hours.

CADC-I B

Requirements to apply, you would need 315 hours of AOD-specific core education with 3,000 fieldwork experience hours.

CADC-II

Requirements to apply, you would need 315 hours of AOD specific core education with 6,000 fieldwork experience hours.

CADC-III

Requirements to apply: you would need a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health science or allied mental health with 315 hours of AOD core education and 4,000 fieldwork experience hours.

LAADC

Requirements to apply: you would need a Master’s degree in behavioral health science or allied mental health with 315 hours of AOD core education and 4,000 fieldwork experience hours.

A completed application consists of all green bubbles; the completion date is based on the last step completed. All applications are reviewed in the order they are received by date.

These applications have a minimum 6–8-week (business days) processing period. Once your application is reviewed, Certemy will send notices via email. There is a 2-step review process for these applications. If anything further is needed, once the initial review is complete, you will receive a detailed email from an @ccapp.us email address. Once all corrections are complete you will go through final review, this is usually a faster process; once complete, you will receive a pre-registration email for the exam. This will contain a username and password for you to complete registration based on your physical location and allow you to select a location and date at your convenience. You have six months to complete registration from the time you receive your pre-registration email.
